Take Advantage of Any Free Time

If you g=have a study period or a long bus ride, use the time to review notes, prepare for an upcoming class or start your homework. Flash cards are a great learning tool. They are easy to make, easy to handle, and are a marvelous tool to help you learn and remember anything. Punch a hole in the upper left corner if each index card and connect the stack or your flash cards with a ring. Then the cards are bound and not flopping around. Flash cards bound like this act like a small book with pages. You can even have separate ringed stacks for each subject. WHATEVER YOU WANT TO REMEMBER, PUT IT ON A CARD.

Study with a friend

Get together with friends and classmates to quiz each other, compare notes and predict test questions. Consider joining a study group.

Communicate

If you have concerns about the amount or type of homework you have, you may want to talk to talk to your family, teachers or counselors. They can help you understand how much time you need to allot for homework and how to manage your tasks.

Celebrate Your Achievements

Reward yourself for hitting milestones or doing something well.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT!!!

I didn’t do anything interesting during my spring break. I stayed home most of the time and did my homework that was assign from some of my classes. I was home alone because both of my parents went to work and my sister too. I had to clean the house and do anything else my said to do. On the weekend before we enter school I had a party and I had a good time with my family. And on Easter we went to my aunt’s house and did a carne asada, which was also fun.  

 

Summary: This story was about some grandparents that locked up her granddaughter in a bathroom for six years. The little girl would only come out to go to school. The only times she was allowed was when they had visitors or any special occasions.

Reflection: This story was melancholy. It’s not right what these two people did to their granddaughter. A child that is in elementary is supposed to be having fun outside and not locked up in a bathroom.

This statement is saying that not everything you do that is right is popular. People might know about it but it’s not as popular that everyone knows. For example, graduating from high school is doing the right thing and your family is going to be very proud of that. You will be popular among them but not the rest of the people that are out there. Usually what’s popular is the wrong choices people make. For example, a guy that shot many innocent people at a theater became very popular and it wasn’t for someone to be proud of.
